Meet Jacob

Jacob was diagnosed with stage 4 hepatoblastoma at 10 months old.He has been through 7 rounds of chemotherapy and had a liver resection. Little Jacob "Jake" is almost 2 years old and in the fight of his life. He has been diagnosed with hepatoblastoma which is a cancer of the liver. The tumor that was originally in his lungs and liver was removed by the University of Michigan and the tumors in his lungs went away with multiple rounds of chemo. It was a rough road, but he is tumor free!!! However, he now may need a stem cell transplant, so the fight isn't over. This is necessary though as they want to make very sure the cancer doesn't come back. Jacob is a fun loving little boy whose laugh and smile are contagious. He has beaten the odds and is truly a "miracle baby".

Meet Collin & Patrick

Collin and Patrick are brothers. Collin was diagnosed with ALL, and Patrick with Hepatoblastoma. They love WWE, water parks, and spending time with their daddy. The brothers rocked their Beads of Courage at our session. They get a bead for everything from pokes to chemo to surgery, and they get a purple heart for completing treatment. Patrick has around 250 beads, and Collin is nearing 2000! They are extremely proud of their beads, and were really excited to show them off. They have the most contagious laughs, and their family has been an absolute joy to spend time with.

Meet Logan

Logan is a beautiful, free-spirited girl who just turned 6 in December. An identical twin, Logan and her sister were about 6 months old she became ill with loss of appetite, fevers, and eventually she was unable to sleep in her crib. Diagnosed with a viral infection, Logan was sent home only to be rushed to the emergency room four months later with labored breathing and a swollen stomach. A CT scan revealed three massive tumors in her liver, and her family received the devastating diagnosis of Hepatoblastoma. After 6 rounds of chemotherapy, the doctors determined that her liver was too badly damaged and Logan was put on the national organ transplant list. Three weeks and three days later, her family received the call that Logan was to receive a new liver. At the age of one, Logan received her new liver and has been cancer free for five years! She is now a very happy and healthy 6 year old little girl, who loves life and makes the most of every day.
