Meet Ava

Ava had a fever that lasted for 4 days in November 2011. Her doctors ran CBC tests and found her blood counts were not normal. She was sent to a hematologist and they performed a bone marrow aspiration and was diagnosed with Pre-B A.L.L (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on December 9 2011 at the age of two years old. Her treatment will end March 21 2014, just before her 5th birthday. She is currently on the last phase of treatment. Ava loves the color pink and purple and everything to do with Disney Princesses. She recently started ballet classes. Her mom and dad say that throughout her treatment Ava always has a smile on her face, even when she is not feeling so well from the chemo. During our photo session, it was evident that Ava's heart is filled with so much light and love. She spreads her joy and smile to everyone she meets.
