Meet Maddie

Her cancer is rare and it's called Choroid Plexus Carcinoma. She was taken to the ER on Jan 5. 2010, when she was only 4 months old, they found a 4 cm golf ball size tumor. Maddie went into surgery where they were able to remove the whole Tumor, but on Jan 7 her family got the news that it was Cancer and it was starting to spread down her spine through her spinal fluid. She had an external drain to help her fluid drain but the cancer had scarred her natural process so they had to put a shunt in. She has underwent 11 cycles of chemo and was in remission until August of 2012 when two more tumors were found. Maddie has been undergoing more chemo since December, and her parents are soon undergoing a trip to Boston to visit a specialist.
