Meet Mallory

Mallory is a stage 4 neuroblastoma survivor. She was diagnosed at 2 months old when her pediatrician found a lump at her well child visit (there were many signs before this that led me to believe something was wrong but never cancer). November 29th we found out that she had a softball sized tumor on her left adrenal gland that was pushing against her stomach. She also had another tumor on her right adrenal gland that was slightly smaller and entwined in her inferior vena cava.she went through an open abdominal left adrenal removal along with the tumor. It was decided our best course of action was to leave the right one in and continue with chemotherapy. After 2 rounds there was no progress and the right tumor was larger, she under went another open abdominal surgery so they could biopsy the 2nd tumor, they found her liver was covered in many cancer cells. We then changed courses and spent the next 4 months running from home to the hospital. She was declared in remission on ! Ay 18th, 2012 almost 6 months later. She is our sweet baby Mallory, she is a little sister, and she is the most amazing little girl I have ever met.
