Meet Marco

When Marco was 2 years old he was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma in one eye. Retinoblastoma is an aggressive, malignant tumor on the retina. He had multiple surgeries, laser therapies and radiation to save the eye. At age 4 his eye was removed. Six months after his eye was removed the cancer returned, this time in his leg. He went through 6 high dose chemotherapy treatments, radiation and a grueling Stem Cell Transplant. Today Marco is 8 years old and cancer free! He enjoys swimming, hanging out with his friends and being a great big brother to his sister Alexa. Hope session by Ute-Christin Cowan.
