Meet Yan

On October 3, 2008, Yan's mother brought him to his pediatrician because he was vomiting and had a fever. He was then sent to the hospital for a CT scan where they found a 5 cm tumor on the left side of Yan's brain. On October 6, prior to his surgery, Yan's MRI showed two more brain tumors. Four days after having major surgery at only six months old, Yan was diagnosed with Metastic Choroid Plexus Carcinoma. When Yan was three and a half years old, doctors suggested hospice telling his family there was nothing more they could do - but they did not give up. At that point, Yan's family decided to move from Tampa, Florida to Massachusetts to get Yan the treatment he needed. Now 5 years old, six surgeries later and with daily doses of chemotherapy, Yan continues to fight. He is a super fun and energetic little boy with a zest for life. His smile is contagious and you cannot help but immediately fall in love with him. He is such an inspiration!
A big thank you to the New England Patriots, and Gillette Stadium for allowing TGHP to hold Yan's session there.
